A stuck thermostat can cause your engine to overheat,
while one that stays open will delay optimum operating
temperature being reached - bad news either way.
This thermostat opens at 87deg C and fits 1800cc and
2000cc petrol engined T4s (1990–2003); plus 1600cc and
1700cc diesel engined T25s (1981–1992); and 1900cc and
2100cc petrol engined T25s, 1981–1992.
