Condenser For VW T2 Bay 1973-1979 and Bosch 009 Distributor
This Bosch or Beru quality condenser fits standard distributors from 1973 onward.
It has a square ‘bung’ shape and fits to the side of the distributor. Please check suitability before ordering.
Its purpose in a coil ignition circuit is to reduce the spark at the contact points as they open – minimising burning and pitting of the points and so extending their lives.
