Type2 Early Bay 67-74 Classic Steering Wheel 17"
Stunning wheels which are inspired by the Vintage Porsche 356 wheel design.
Price includes Wheel, boss, horn push and all hardware (everything you need to fit!)
The wheels have been cut from a single piece of aluminium, then we had the beautiful fine slits cut into the spokes for the true vintage feel.
Our wheels not flat, we have gone to great lengths to dish them to 3cm to keep that period look and combined with the boss they sit at the perfect original height in your VW or Porsche.
The wood rim has finger tapers sculpted into the back then we lacquered the wood five times.
The boss / adapter is not cast like others, we machine them for perfect fit and also taper them so they line up neatly with your original steering column.
The horn push does not get forgotten either, we have produced it with a low profile so sits perfectly with the wheel and as the aluminium on the wheel and the boss had it fully polished to a high shine.
Do you need to select early or late bay? — 1968 to the middle of 1974 you should require an EARLY BAY. After that date should require a LATE BAY.
The best way to check:
For an Early Bay, the nut that secures the steering wheel is 27mm in diameter (flat edge to flat edge).
For a Late Bay, the nut that secures the steering wheel is 24mm in diameter (flat edge to flat edge)
