This VDO oil temperature sump sender unit is used in conjunction with our oil temperature gauge kit (J11686). This switch has a m14 x 1.5 thread and fits all upright aircooled 1200, 1300, 1500 and 1600cc engines with the correct sump plate from 1960 to 1979. VDO Automotive has a long history of producing electrical components for Volkswagen and is one of the biggest names in the supply of Original Equipment to carmakers worldwide. They supply VW with many of their gauges and electrical parts and have an excellent reputation in aftermarket parts.
