Fiamma Security Kit for VW T5/T6 awning adapters
This genuine Fiamma Security Kit is intended for the retrofit or repair of specific awning mounting brackets for VW T5 and T6 vehicles. It is suitable for the Fiamma VW T5/T6 Reimo Multirail Kit 98655Z156 and the Fiamma Combi Rail Bracket Kit 98655Z147.
A production batch of these adapter kits may develop a loose connection between the awning and the vehicle due to a non-compliant component. The Security Kit is used to modify the fasteners on both the front and rear awning brackets in accordance with the Fiamma service instructions.
The kit is suitable for Fiamma F45s and F43van awnings installed on a VW T5 or VW T6 using one of the specified adapter kits.

Fiamma has issued a voluntary recall for certain production batches of adapter kits 98655Z156 and 98655Z147 placed on the market between 2023 and 2025. Check the part number of the installed adapter kit before ordering.
Do not ignore a loose connection between the awning and the vehicle. If in doubt, contact a specialist dealer or qualified workshop.
Installation information
The modification must be carried out on both the front and rear brackets. According to the Fiamma instructions, only one screw should be removed at a time. This allows the awning to remain supported by the second fastener and avoids having to remove the complete awning.
The Fiamma instructions specify a 6 mm hex key for installation. Secure the screw connections as described in the supplied service instructions. If you are unsure about the installation, have the retrofit carried out by a qualified specialist.
Tip
The awning-adapter number is the decisive compatibility criterion. Before ordering, compare the number of the installed bracket kit with 98655Z156 or 98655Z147.
