This Bosch quality condenser fits standard distributors on Beetle and T2 before 1971.

It has a round ‘bung’ shape and fits through the base of the distributor.
Please check suitability before ordering. Its purpose in a coil ignition circuit is to reduce   the spark at the contact points as they open – minimising burning and pitting of the points and so extending their lives.
