❄️ Brunner Polarys Twinair 3 split air conditioner – cool comfort for hot camping days
The Brunner Polarys Twinair 3 is a compact split air conditioner for campers, vans, motorhomes and caravans. It consists of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit connected by a flexible hose. The indoor unit cools the vehicle interior, while the outdoor unit releases the warm air outside.
With approx. 3000 BTU / 900 W cooling capacity, the Polarys Twinair 3 is a practical solution for smaller leisure vehicles. No fixed roof installation is required, which makes it especially attractive for mobile use.
🏕️ Ideal for hinged windows, sliding windows and suitable bus windows
The system fits particularly well with classic caravan or motorhome windows that open outwards from the top. These windows usually allow the hose to be guided outside very neatly.
It can also work very well with sliding windows, such as those found in some VW T2 and VW T3 buses. In this case, the remaining window opening should be sealed with a custom-made insert, for example made of Styrodur, wood, plastic or a similar material.
In our VW T3, we installed the Brunner Polarys Twinair 3 in the passenger side window. It fits well there and no additional DIY work was required. This installation situation is shown in the last product pictures. The same idea can also work in other buses, depending on the window shape and mounting options.
⚠️ Important for VW buses and camper vans: some adjustment may be required
Please note: This air conditioner is not a vehicle-specific plug-and-play part for every VW bus. Depending on the window type, interior trim and vehicle layout, individual adjustment may be necessary.
The aim is to guide the hose outside and seal the remaining opening properly. If the window opening is not sealed, warm outside air can flow back into the vehicle and reduce cooling Performance.
