Type2 Bay Fuel Pressure Regulator (1-4 psi)
The original fuel pump delivers the correct pressure to an original carburetor. If a larger carburetor is installed, the standard fuel pump will in most cases not be able to cope with the supply, resulting in underfilling and engine malfunction.
A fuel pump with higher efficiency should be considered, it is only available in electric version.
The pressure supplied by these fuel pumps is in most cases higher than the desired pressure, allowing the float chamber to overflow.
Problems that can occur with an overflowing floatation chamber are: poor starting after a short break, constant change in CO content and/or idle speed, and the need to adjust the idle speed regularly.
It is therefore recommended to install a pressure regulator when installing an electric fuel pump.
With this pressure regulator, the fuel pressure can be regulated in 10 positions, from 0 to maximum.
Use a pressure gauge to check the pressure.
The regulator is equipped with 1/8-27 NPT swivel fittings on the inlet and outlet side, add hose fittings (see Options tab).
